Have you ever encountered a Skeptic who uses science and the theory of evolution as a means to not believe in God? This tract is for you! Dear Skeptic,

Maybe you believe that science disproves God. Maybe you believe in Darwinian evolution as a means to explain the universe and all life that exists. A big bang happened in the beginning and billions of years later of evolution through survival of the fittest, here we are now. But is it really far fetched to believe that an all powerful divine being (God) created everything? Please read.

In the Beginning…

 Evolutionist Herbert Spencer discovered that time, force, action, space and matter are the 5 manifestations of all scientific phenomena. This is true. However, did you know the very first verse in the Bible proves these 5 manifestations. Genesis 1:1 says “In the Beginning (Time) God (Force) created (action) the heavens (space) and the earth (matter).” You may ask the question “Who created God?”. God is an eternal being with no beginning or end who exists outside of time and has always existed. God is not human, He is Spirit. Time started when He first started creating. I have a question for you: do you believe in the scientific impossibility that nothing created everything? There has to be a start and that is where God comes in. When you look at a building it proves there is a builder even if you never met the builder. When you look at a painting, it proves there is a painter even if you never met the artist. And the creation, with how complex yet harmonious it is proves there is a divine creator who created all things. Macroevolution teaches that mankind evolved from apes. Yet, if the earth is billions of years old there should be mountains of evidence of transitional life forms in the fossil record. Yet there are no credible ones because there are none. Mankind did not evolve from ape’s. Humans are distinct creatures made in God’s image (likeness) with a conscience that desires justice. Ape’s don’t form court systems and punish wrong doers amongst their clan. Human’s do because we are made in God’s image. Your DNA is called the book of life and the complexity of the 92 strands of DNA that each human possesses is unique and one of a kind. It didn’t just happen over billions of years. 

What does it matter?

God created the first humans (Adam and Eve) in the beginning. And from them all human life exists. If you are an atheist then why does morality and ethics matter? For example, if someone brutally murdered and raped your mother, according to an atheist world view, it’s simply just stardust bumping into other stardust. But I believe deep down inside, you know it’s always wrong if someone raped and murdered your mom.Why is it wrong if God does not exist? Where do you even get the laws of right and wrong from without God? If we have laws, there must be a moral law giver (God). You intuitively know it’s wrong to lie, steal, murder ect. because God has given you a conscience. Why do you feel guilty (or should) at times when you violate your conscience? The word conscience is two words “con" means with and “science” means knowledge. You have the inner alarm (knowledge) of right and wrong because God put that in you. It’s like a moral smoke alarm to warn you of danger when you disobey your conscience. The guilt felt is to show you that God will judge your actions/thoughts one day. But only one thing can remove the guilt our conscience’s carry from disobeying it. 

The Real Answer

You have value and purpose in this life. All mankind has disobeyed God by breaking His moral laws. How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever stolen (value doesn't matter)? Have you ever looked at someone with sexual lust (desire)? Have you always obeyed your parents? These are some of God’s moral laws and all of humanity is guilty because we have disobeyed them. “None is righteous… None is good.” “The wages of sin is death…” meaning the payment we deserve for our disobedience toward God is we deserve spiritual death when we die. Which is to go to hell (eternal punishment) because God is a God of justice. We are guilty but God’s Son Jesus Christ paid for our fine. He took our punishment by dying on a Roman cross for all of our sins 2000 years ago. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this,that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Then 3 days later He defeated death by resurrecting from the dead proving He is the son of God. What should I do?

1.Humble yourself, and admit God is real. Admit that you have disobeyed Him by violating your conscience and disobeyed His moral laws. Repent (change your mind) of your sins and ask for His forgiveness to clear you of all your guilt.

2. Trust that Jesus alone can save you from going to hell, forgive you of all your sins and give you eternal life as a free gift. “Confess with your mouth “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart God raised Jesus from the dead, and you will be saved.” “the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ…”.

When you do this God will bring you into a relationship with Him and has a plan for your life. Start reading the Bible to grow in your new relationship with God.
