Do you know someone who is Muslim? Muslims believe that if their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds they might make it to paradise. They will accept Jesus as a sinless prophet but not as the Son of God who died for sinners. In this tri-fold tract it will explain how Moses was given the 10 commandments and that reveals Gods standard in that we all have sinned against God by disobeying those commandments. And God's justice must punish law breakers. This tract explains how Jesus is really the son of God, how we are saved by grace through faith in Christ and not of any works. And it explains how God is triune in nature. Please get these tracts to prepare yourself and you will have something to leave with your Muslim friend to read on their own. Here is the tract:

Dear Muslim,

Greetings! I believe you have a sincere devotion to Allah and desire to obey Him. I would like to talk about Moses and Jesus the prophet.  I also want to share with you how you can know for certain that you can enter paradise. I will ask you some questions and share some glad news with you!

The Law of Moses

I know you accept Moses as a prophet from God. Moses was given God’s moral law called the 10 commandments. In the Quran, Surah 101:6-9 says “Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found)heavy, Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,--Will have his home in a (bottomless) pit.” IF you died today would you have done enough good deeds so Allah accepts you into paradise? If God judges you by the 10 commandments, would you be innocent of guilty? How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever stolen something (even if it is little or no value)? Have you looked with sexual desire (lust) at someone you are not married to? Have you always honored your parents? If you are honest, we all have disobeyed God’s laws and found guilty. Surah 10:54 says “Every souls that has sinned, if it possessed all that is on earth, would fain give it in ransom.” Meaning, if you possessed the whole world and gave it to God as payment for you sins, it would never be enough to erase and forgive you all your wrongdoing. If you are guilty in a court of law, a good judge will punish the lawbreaker. That is called justice. And everyone has sinned against God and disobeyed His laws. God is a goof judge that punishes sin and sinners will end up in the lake of fire called hell. Your good deeds will never be enough to get you into paradise. But here is glad news, keep reading.

Who is Jesus?

Islam accepts Jesus as a prophet. The Quran teaches that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary (Surah 19:20-22) and was sinless (Surah 19:19). The Quran also affirms that Jesus did miracles (Surah 19:16-21). And so does the Bible. But the Quran rejects that Jesus is the son of God who died on the cross for sinners (Surah 5:72). The Quran was written some 600 years after Jesus’s lived. While the Bible wrote about Jesus only a few decades after Jesus lived through personal eye witness accounts. History shows us that a man named Jesus from Nazareth died of Roman crucifixion. So if Jesus died on the cross, what does that mean? The Christian Bible says “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, That whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” And is also says “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us.” Jesus came to the earth to save sinners from going to hell. Even though mankind is very sinful, Godf in His love gave His son to be the sacrifice for sin. Jesus took your punishment for sin by dying in hour place as your substitute on the cross. He took your death penalty. He did this because of love. And Jesus resurrected from the dead proving He is God. He now offers you a free gift, called eternal life. Only through Jesus can we be forgiven, go to paradise and have a relationship with God. But how do we get God’s free gift of Eternal life?

Trinity

The trinity can be confusing in Christianity and is also very misunderstood. God is infinite (unlimited) and mankind if finite (limited) in our understanding. So to understand God fully is impossible because mankind is limited. The Trinity teaches that God is One in being and three in person (the Father, THe Son, and The Holy Spirit). A being is a quality that makes you what you are. A person is a quality that makes you who you are. For example, what I am is a human being with muscles, organs, flesh and bones. But who I am as a person consists of my mind, emotions and will, also known as your soul or the essence of you. A human is one being and one person. However, God is one being but eternally existing as three persons. This is NOT three different gods but rather three different persons existing as One God. Humans also have a triune nature. WE consist of the body, soul and spirit but yet we are still one human. H2O (water) can be three different forms yet one substance. It can be a liquid, a solid and a gas. In the Quran, Allah spoke to Moses from the burning bush (Surah 28:30). So its possible that God can come down to earth and be in a different form.

Paradise

The way you can be forgiven of all sin, go to heaven (paradise) and be in a loving relationship with God is ONLY through Jesus. Humble yourself by:

  • Repenting of your sin. Admit you are guilty before God and leave your sins.
  • Trust (Believe) in Jesus as your savior. He alone is the way to the Father to save you from hell and give you the free gift of eternal life. You cannot earn favor with God through good works. To receive salvation is all a work of God’s free undeserving gift for sinners who deserve punishment. “The wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
